A good machine makes room.
Good Machines LLC is an independent software studio based in Maryland. We build personal software that handles the small administrative work of everyday life, then steps back.
What we believe
Most software asks for more of you. More attention, more taps, more time inside the app. We think good technology earns its place the opposite way: by giving time back.
The small admin of a day is real work. Reading the inbox, watching the calendar, remembering the package, noticing the bill. None of it is hard, but all of it together is a tax on attention that never stops collecting. Our products exist to carry that tax quietly.
That shapes how everything we make behaves. It works in the background and reports in plain language. It interrupts only when something genuinely needs you. It never asks you to reorganize your life to fit the tool. The day you already have is the input.
What we make
Mitamaton is our first product: a personal assistant for iPhone that runs the day you already have. It reads your morning into one brief, watches the calendar and the inbox, catches the things that need you, and then steps back. It is in private beta now and coming to the App Store.
Who we are
Good Machines was founded by Justin Perea, a software engineer who spent years building data systems and decided the most useful thing he could make was software that looks after the ordinary parts of a day. The studio is small on purpose: one person building carefully, in public, with help from the modern toolchain.
We write about the work as we go in the journal.
